YCodaSlider 2.0 rc2

DEMO SITE.

Slider scripts are one of the common objects of newspaper & portal websites.
They are very useful as they help us present more content in a limited space.
This script helps you present your content with a tabbed menu + previous-next buttons to switch between tabs.
YCodaSlider 2.0 requires jQuery to run and you can use any type of content inside the slider like HTML, Flash, webpages etc.
It can be configured easily to use different effects while changing the content.

2008-05-19 - fix ie6 bugs in demo site (css properties, png/gif replace, padding, tag pre+code) and moz-user-select in galleries. TODO: keycodes abstraction layer for different platforms.

    Very Slick :)

    There is one usability issue I ran into, after clicking through the tabs, I pressed the back button in my browser, and it did not take me back. I saw the “#3″ change to “#2″ in the address bar, but the page did not change.

    It was initially disconcerting the that back button did not take me back and then slightly annoying that I had to press it repeatedly.

    It is very well done, but I don’t think I would use this if it breaks the back button.

    @Joe

    I fixed the problem. Now the history (and link) are disabled by default.
    If you include history_remote plugin you can set in the options {history : true} and have the right “user experience”.

    It’s great. It improves on Niall Doherty’s coda-slider. However It’s still is very limited due to the fact same page cross-linking isn’t supported it does work for firefox but internet explorer doesn’t work with it. Which this feature is really needed to give it a even better look and to take out the tabs.
